Speaking to Vogue, the Oscar nominee admitted that her former boyfriend Raffaello Follieri's fraud trial caused her to reexamine if she was too trusting with former partners.
"It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, but once I do and I get to know someone, I'm very open, very trusting," she said. "Some might say too trusting."
The actress admitted that the theme of trust in her new movie Love and Other Drugs led her confront her trust issues with men during the film's production.
She explained: "I was a wreck from start to finish. I think I cried every single day."
Love and Other Drugs is released on November 24 in US cinemas.
