The Tour de France star took to his Twitter account this morning to announce that girlfriend Anna Hansen had given birth to a daughter called Olivia Marie.
He later added: "Good morning! Thanks to you all for the support and well wishes. Momma and Olivia (@Cincoarmstrong!) are doing great. She's a beauty! (sic)"
The new arrival had her own Twitter account set up earlier this year, with her first tweet reading: "I got 2 arms, 2 legs, a nickname, and i'm 2 inches long. See y'all in October." It was updated yesterday to read: "I'm 'bout ready to get outta here!"
Armstrong and Hansen are already parents to son Max, who was born last year. Armstrong also has three children - Luke, Isabelle and Grace - from his marriage to ex-wife Kristin Richard.
