Taylor Momsen: 'I am totally insane'

Taylor Momsen has reportedly claimed that she is "totally insane".

The Pretty Reckless singer revealed that she goes crazy at times but that she is always acting herself.

She told Bullet: "I see myself as totally insane. I'm totally moody. Of course. And I'm totally out of my mind. And I'm always myself."

The Gossip Girl actress added that her stage persona is different to her usual personality.

She explained: "Well on stage I'm performing. It's another extension of myself. I mean I don't walk out of my bedroom in the morning with stripper heels on."

When asked what makes her music unique, she replied: "I have no f**king idea. I don't analyse myself and I don't compare myself to other people."

The 17-year-old star also insisted that music has always been her priority, despite her successful acting career.

She said: "Acting to singing is not a transition for me in any way, shape or form. Writing music and singing is nothing new for me, I've been doing it since I was 5. It's just new for my public and how they see me. It's a transition for them. I haven't changed at all."
