Pete Doherty was involved in a brawl at a gig this week, just hours before appearing in court for drugs offences.
The Babyshambles frontman apparently attacked a fan at London's Rhythm Factory on Thursday.
"When Babyshambles came on stage, a guy threw water at Pete," a source told The Mirror. "Then the guy shouted out and Pete dived into the crowd and started punching him. A fight broke out and when security got involved, Drew and Adam from the band jumped in and a mass brawl broke out."
Doherty, who pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, crack cocaine, morphine and cannabis yesterday, is said to be terrified at the prospect of going to prison.
A friend revealed, "Pete's convinced he's going to be locked up. He's very agitated all the time now and the least little thing gets to him. It's not like him to attack a fan so things must be bad."
