Tyra Banks has been granted a temporary restraining order against Marten Williams Jr, who has allegedly terrorised her family for four years.

The model stated to the police that she is "in fear" of the 39-year-old.

In documents filed by her lawyer Evan Spiegel in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Banks stated: "I am in fear from Mr. Williams for my personal safety, and that of those around me, including my family and employees."

The 36-year-old has claimed that Williams believes "he killed George Bush Jr and that Michael Jackson is alive and living in Long Beach".

She also alleged that he has left many "ominous, frightening letters and items" at her home in Beverly Hills, including a note referring to a wedding ceremony where he believes he will marry Banks.

Williams was arrested earlier this month for trespassing on the TV presenter's property. He was placed under psychiatric hold but was later released.

A hearing will take place on October 28 to determine whether or not the restraining order will become permanent.
