In an interview carried out before she announced her split from husband David Arquette, the 46-year-old, who acts in TV show Cougar Town, revealed that she finds younger men more attractive.
When asked if the word 'cougar' applies to her, she told OK: "I guess it does, sure. I can imagine that if it wasn't for David, I'd like younger guys."
The actress added that she used to find older men more appealing but has now changed her opinion.
She explained: "I used to like older guys because I wanted to learn from them. I had one guy that I dated who was 16 years older than me and I loved that he could teach me all the things that I didn't pay attention to at school.
"But now I've learned them, and now I do find myself attracted to younger people."
