He admitted personal wrongdoing at an administrative court in Los Angeles, where he provided his own defence in a fight to keep his medical licence.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Dr Kamrava told the court: "I'm sorry for what happened. When I look back at it, I wish I had never done it and it will never happen again."
California state officials allege that Dr Kamrava implanted nearly twice as many embryos as Suleman had claimed, and that he had not taken into consideration the welfare of his patient's prospective children, as well as the six she was already struggling to provide for.
The fertility doctor had previously defended his actions, telling Nightline last year that Suleman's procedure "was done the right way... under the circumstances".
