Madonna slams rumours of marriage split

Madonna has today slammed rumours that her marriage with husband Guy Richie is on the rocks.

Rumours that the couple had split and were keeping the separation secret had been reported by American newspaper The New York Daily News. However, Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, denies any problems.

"There have been a lot of silly stories which are all untrue," she said, adding that Guy had visited Madonna at the set of her latest music video, Sorry.

"Guy came to the set to visit - once with the children Rocco and Lourdes, and once without.

"Mr and Mrs Ritchie seemed a perfectly comfortable and adoring of each other. My sense is that they're a quite happy, content couple."
