Joan Collins 'explains Aniston slight'

Joan Collins has said that the press misconstrued recent comments that she made about Jennifer Aniston.

Earlier this month, she reportedly claimed that Aniston would never be considered as beautiful as Salt's Angelina Jolie or classic screen icons like Ava Gardner.

Collins has now told Us magazine that she did not intend to single out the former Friends star in her comparison of timeless movie stars.

"The bottom line is that I talked about several actresses, among them Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Megan Fox," she said.

The Dynasty actress continued: "Unfortunately, everybody got cut out [except Aniston and Jolie]. Typical. That's the way it goes."

A representative for Aniston previously stated that she would not respond to Collins's declarations.
