Mariah Carey expecting a baby boy?

Mariah Carey is reportedly expecting a baby boy.

Carey, who has yet to announce her pregnancy, dropped out of filming a Tyler Perry movie in June, fuelling rumours that the singer is pregnant. Sources close to Carey say that the star refuses to confirm the news until she is certain that the baby is healthy.

"She's having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn't want to say anything is because she is 40, and she's superstitious," an insider told Pop Eater. "But she's going to appear on Oprah and The View, so she's planning on making the announcement soon."

Carey married Nick Cannon, current chairman of Teen Nick, in 2008. On his radio show, Cannon has implied that his wife is pregnant with the pair’s first child.

"I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again: when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her," Cannon said in August. "There's a certain time limit that you're supposed to wait before you actually can officially say that you are."
