Oscar winner Lisa Blount dies, aged 53

She was discovered by her mother at her home in Little Rock, Arkansas on Wednesday. According to the local coroner, it was likely that she died on Monday. Foul play has been ruled out.
Blount was perhaps most well known for her supporting role in An Officer and a Gentleman as Lynette Pomeroy, the best friend to Debra Winger's character Paula Pokrifki. She also starred in Prince of Darkness and Great Balls of Fire!
She won an Academy Award in 2002, along with her husband Roy McKinnon, for the movie The Accountant. It won the award for best live action short film.
