LeAnn Rimes: 'Love made me cheat'

LeAnn Rimes has insisted that she does not regret cheating on ex-husband Dean Sheremet with current boyfriend Eddie Cibrian.

In an interview featured on the ABC special All Access Nashville, the singer - who finalised her divorce from Sheremet earlier this year - admitted that she is not normally the type of person to be unfaithful but was driven by her love for Cibrian.

"That's just not me. What happened is not who I am, period," she explained. "I do know how much I love him. So, I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."

Rimes went on to claim that her situation was not unusual but gained more attention because of her public status.

"It happens every day to so many people. You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love," she said.

"Nothing I'm going to say is going to change it. I do know that, and I have accepted that."
