Ironik stabbed during attempted robbery

Ironik has been hospitalised after being stabbed during an attempted robbery in the early hours of the morning.

The 'Tiny Dancer' rapper received a non-threatening wound to the upper leg during the attack by two hooded males, which occurred after a gig at an Essex nightclub.

The star's PR agency confirmed in a statement to the Daily Mail: "Ironik was attacked and stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning during an attempted robbery whilst returning to his home in North London.

"He was stabbed in his upper leg, taken to hospital and is currently being treated. He is understandably shaken up by this unprovoked attack."

Later, a friend of the DJ's known as YazminArtist posted on Ironik's Twitter profile: "I'm with DJ Ironik right now at the hospital... Yes he has been stabbed. He is in A&E but he's doing OK."

A police spokesperson earlier confirmed that they had retrieved most of the jewellery stolen from the musician during the robbery.
