The Muse singer is believed to be flying to California for the festive season to meet Hudson's family.
"It will be the first meeting of both sets of parents," The Sun reports a source as saying. "Things are getting serious between Kate and Matt and it's the obvious next step."
They added: "Christmas is the only time they can get everyone together and the festive season is also the best time to do it."
Hudson was previously married to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, with whom she has son Ryder, until the couple divorced in 2007.
Bellamy began dating the Nine actress following the end of her relationship with New York Yankees player Alex Rodriquez in December 2009.
