The possible romance was first reported in June when the pair were spotted watching tennis together at Wimbledon.
However, the Victorious actress has dispelled rumours that she and Hoult are an item, claiming that it would be too difficult to keep up a long-distance relationship with the British actor.
She told E Online: "No, we're not dating. He's a great guy and so talented and deserves everything, but even to maintain a friendship with someone who lives on another continent... it's kind of impossible."
Justice went on to say that she is not as close to longtime friend Taylor Lautner as has been suggested in the press either.
"We were closer friends when I was younger, and then we both got kind of busy," she added. "But if I see him, I'll give him a hug and say 'hi' and we'll chat, but we don't really have sleepovers or anything like that."
