The X Factor judge volunteered to let 12-year-old 'Young Fundraiser of the Year' Cameron Small smash the flan in her face as part of a charity auction at last night's Pride of Britain Awards.
Host Carol Vorderman asked for a willing participant after former Popstars contestant Darius Danesh won the auction with a £6,000 bid, reports PA.
Small said that he was "shocked" to see Cole step forward, adding: "I threw it hard and it hit her right in the face. Then she put some of it on me.
"She took it quite well. She said it was the first time it's ever felt good when that had happened."
Cole later said: "It was a small thing to do for such a brave young man."
The Pride of Britain Awards honour the achievements of the nation's unsung heroes. The ceremony will be broadcast on Wednesday on ITV at 8pm.
