The beauty queen told Fox411 that she and NFL player husband Kyle Boller were "excited" to announce that they will welcome a baby next May.
Oakland Raiders quarterback Boller added that the pair, who will find out the gender of their child next week, are "so in love" and discovering the pregnancy had been "the best news".
Prejean hit the headlines when she was stripped of her Miss California title in 2009. She married Boller at a ceremony in San Diego in July.
