Taylor Momsen 'forced to work by parents'

Taylor Momsen has declared that her much-publicised angst stems from an unhappy childhood.

According to Star Pulse, the Pretty Reckless singer claimed that her parents forced her into show business at a young age.

"Everyone's like, 'Wow, why is she upset and why is she so miserable about things?' My parents signed me up with Ford [Modelling Agency] at the age of two," she said. "No two-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice."

Momsen further remarked that she was never given the chance to have a normal childhood.

"My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn't have friends. I was working constantly and I didn't have a real life," she stated.

The Pretty Reckless recently revealed plans for a new single and tour.
