Elijah Wood opens Twitter account

Elijah Wood has announced that he has joined Twitter.

According to The Fan Carpet, Wood finally decided to open his own Twitter account this past week. His first tweet read, "Hello, Twitter. I've finally succumbed to your wiles."

Wood has started following some of his fellow actors, including Eli Roth and Olivia Munn, as well as the band Radiohead.

Wood can be seen on Broadway next month as a part of the tenth annual benefit called 24 Hour Plays, in which he and others have a day to work together to create six original short plays. He wil also star in the TV series Wilfred on FX.
