Aguilera: 'Cher gave me marriage advice'

Christina Aguilera has revealed that Cher offered her advice on how to move from her recent split from husband Jordan Bratman.

The actress told Access Hollywood that she found her Burlesque co-star's humourous outlook on marriage to be particularly meaningful.

Aguilera remarked: "She had a great quote. She said, 'Ex-husbands will come and go, but I will always remain Cher'."

The star continued: "She's been there, done everything before any of us came along, so she's amazing. What a body of work, what a career… she was definitely a mentor and I walked away with a new friend."

Aguilera previously declared that audiences will find Burlesque to be "empowering".
