Travolta, Preston to have 'silent birth'

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have reportedly decided to partake in a traditional "silent" birth when welcoming their third child later this month.

The couple are said to be participating in the ceremony - followed by Scientologists - in the hopes of helping their son avoid things which will "haunt" him as he grows up.

"The couple will follow the church's guidelines during delivery," a source told PopEater.

"No music, no talking and no screaming will be allowed during the pains of labour. Also their new son cannot be prodded for medical tests or spoken to for the first seven days of his life."

The insider added: "You don't want to do anything that will haunt them for the rest of their lives."

Travolta recently denied reports that Preston is currently in labour.
