Joe Pesci is under investigation by the police for alleged assault.
The Goodfellas actor allegedly punched 24-year-old Juan Carlos Montenegro in the mouth after the student took a picture of Pesci.
Pesci had asked Montenegro not to take his photograph and had turned away after shaking his hand, but is said to have punched him in the mouth when he took the photo anyway.
A police spokesman confirmed that the 62-year-old actor was still under investigation, adding: "There are two sides to every story."
Pesci has not yet been charged with any offence.
