The news agency reports that the Desperate Housewives star filed legal papers in Los Angeles this morning to end her marriage one day after a representative denied rumours of a split.
Longoria, who shot to fame playing Gaby in the ABC show, reportedly cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. The papers also revealed that the pair signed a prenuptial agreement.
A spokesperson for the actress said that she had no comment while a representative for Parker has yet to comment.
Longoria has since posted a message on her Twitter feed, saying: "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."
Parker has posted an identical message on his own Twitter account.
The couple married in France in 2007.
