McGregor to star in Hitchcock film

Ewan McGregor has signed up to appear in a new film about director Alfred Hitchcock.

The film will focus on Hitchcock's early years in London, and his later work with legends such as Grace Kelly, Cary Grant and James Stewart.

It is due to begin filming later in 2006, with Little Britain's Matt Lucas tipped for the role of Hitchcock.
