Cosgrove 'wants to emulate Hathaway's career'

Miranda Cosgrove has suggested that she would like to follow Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway's career trajectory.

In an interview with MARKT Beauty, the iCarly star expressed her admiration for Hathaway's success in moving past the more lighthearted roles of her youth.

"I'd like to have a career like Anne Hathaway. I've been following her career since I was really young - I remember watching The Princess Diaries with my friends - and I really respect the movies she's in now, too," she said.

The star continued: "I love making iCarly, but I'm ready to do something more mature. I'm ready to take that leap."

Cosgrove previously revealed that her mother "tailed" her on a recent first date.
