Sarah Palin 'disgusted by Levi's fame chase'

Sarah Palin has revealed that she found Levi Johnston's attempts to gain fame in Hollywood to be "disgusting".

The former Alaska governor expresses disappointment in her daughter Bristol's former boyfriend in her new book America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.

"Of course, we all had to bite our tongues - more than once - as Tripp's father went on a media tour through Hollywood and New York, spreading untruths and exaggerated rhetoric," she wrote.

Palin went on to assert that Johnston had been led astray by adults seeking to use him for his celebrity.

She explained: "It was disgusting to watch as his 15 minutes of fame were exploited by supposed adults taking advantage of a lost kid."

The politician's daughters Bristol and Willow have recently apologised for using homophobic language while arguing with a young man on Facebook.
