According to PA, the former Lost actor will appear in In A Forest, Dark And Deep, a new play written and directed by Neil LaBute, early next year.
The newsagency reports that Fox will play Olivia Williams's brother in the production - described as a comedy which becomes a "psychological thriller" - which revolves around Fox helping Williams's character clear out her forest cabin.
Fox, who played Dr Jack Shephard in Lost, had expressed a desire to move away from television and into theatre earlier this year, telling Newsweek that he was searching for a role on the London stage.
In A Forest, Dark And Deep will preview at the Vaudeville Theatre from March 3 before running from March 14 to June 4.
