Will Ferrell 'proud to be overpaid actor'

Will Ferrell has remarked that he is proud that Forbes magazine recently ranked him as the most overpaid actor in Hollywood.

Speaking to People, the actor joked that being overpaid was his life's ambition.

Ferrell jested: "Isn't that the whole point? I mean, aren't we all striving to be overpaid?"

He concluded by explaining that overcompensation is a goal that every American should aspire to.

"Apparently I'm living the American dream without even trying."

Ferrell will next star with Gael García Bernal in Casa de mi padre, which is scheduled to be released in 2011.
