The Obsession singer spent time with patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital and told the Daily Star that the experience was eye-opening.
"Stepping into the hospital is hard," he said. "But I know I can bring some smiles and laughter. Great Ormond Street is a magical place filled with happiness, despite treating some of the most rare, life-threatening illnesses for young children.
"Coming here really opens your eyes and shows you there is more to life than being a celebrity."
The paper reports that as the emotional 26-year-old held 16-week-old Tyler Smith - who was diagnosed with a rare bladder disorder when he was 2 days old - he said: "Children are so precious. I can't wait to be a dad one day."
