Friends 'overjoyed' for Travolta family

Industry friends of John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have expressed joy over the birth of the couple's third child Benjamin earlier this week.

"We are completely overjoyed about the birth of Benjamin," Keisha and Forest Whitaker told People following the news. "We love them so much, this feels like full circle."

"[Benjamin's] birthday will be around Thanksgiving day which is wonderful and very fitting after the ordeal that they went through," producer Donald Zuckerman added, who worked with Preston on a number of films including Broken Bridges.

Zuckerman was referring to the death of the couple's son Jett last year at the age of 16, after suffering from a severe seizure while on holiday with his family in the Bahamas.

Following the tragedy, Travolta and Preston publicly confirmed that Jett had suffered from autism and regular seizures since his birth.
