Eurovision entry Javine Hylton was arrested after missing a court appearance for a drink-driving charge.
Police followed acted on a warrant issued nine days after the hearing. She was taken to court in London then held in cells.
The 23-year-old – who was last year's UK contender after winning Popstars: The Rivals - said she was sorry for her crime. “I deeply regret driving that night," she commented. "It was a stupid mistake, very wrong and I’ve learned a lesson.”
Javine was arrested in London for driving with excess alcohol on December 15 last year. Police stopped her after spotting her erratic driving in a silver Mercedes convertible near Piccadilly Circus.
