The alleged mistress of Take That star Howard Donald has revealed that she became depressed after he took legal action to silence her.

The 'Patience' singer was granted a super-injunction in April to prevent Adakini Ntuli from going public with their ten-year affair after she discovered the existence of his second lover, married mum Merith Van Onselen.

Speaking about the romance for the first time since the gagging order was lifted in November, Ntuli told The Mail On Sunday: "I snapped. I was so angry. I thought I was the only one he was having an affair with. It felt I had been led on and manipulated. I was devastated.

"I couldn't tell a soul what was happening, not even my mum. It made me ill and I was admitted to hospital with depression, anxiety and neuralgia.

"I now want to tell the whole story. I think it is wrong that celebrities are able to use the law to cover up their actions. I loved Howard once but he let me down so badly."

Pub singer Ntuli also insisted that Donald had never acted ashamed of their affair and treated her like "an actual girlfriend", even when he was in a relationship with the mothers of his two children.

"I wasn’t a star-struck young girl. I didn’t even know who he was at first," she claimed. "Anyone who noticed us would have assumed we were an item, not an attached guy out with his mistress.

"We would be in hotel lobbies together. He never tried to hide me or smuggle me in. I felt like an actual girlfriend."
