According to Gossip Cop, Bieber had been scheduled to perform on the long-running German show Wetten, Dass?, but was unable to take part after fellow guest Samuel Koch was injured during a segment.
Koch had been attempting a dangerous stunt, jumping over moving cars using special 'kangaroo' shoes and a unique suspension system. However, the stunt failed, and Koch suffered a number of injuries and fractures after landing on an Audi driven by his own father.
"An accident has taken place and we all don't think it's right to continue," Bieber later wrote on Twitter. "Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety."
The singer promised his German fans that he would reschedule the performance for another time.
Koch's injuries are no longer thought to be life threatening, although he is still being treated as 'critical'.
