A cashier who helped conmen to steal £279,000 from comedian Harry Hill has been found guilty.
Sharmane Dillon, 23, revealed details of the accounts of Hill and other Halifax customers so the identity fraudsters could steal hundreds of thousands of pounds.
She was convicted of conspiring to defraud the bank at Harrow Crown Court yesterday.
The thieves targeted Hill's account in particular in April 2004, when they texted Dillon the details that they would need and she offered them up. After that, she accessed details of other accounts at the branch in Wembley.
Judge Susan Tapping adjourned sentencing until March 17. She announced that "a custodial sentence is on the cards."
