The 40-year-old former MasterChef Australia winner, who has three teenage sons with husband Mick, said that she used to worry about losing weight but has since learned not to let it bother her.
Goodwin told New Idea magazine: "When I was much younger I used to worry about losing weight. I'd even manage to shed a bit. But I've got to be in a really miserable place to be thin. [I'm] completely comfortable in my own skin."
Goodwin also revealed that her husband recently surprised her with a diamond ring, saying: "When Mick and I got engaged he said he wished he could've given me a bigger diamond. I wouldn't change my engagement ring for the world because it represents us, just starting out in life together.
"But a few days before my 40th, Mick took me into a jeweller and said I could choose myself something special. I couldn't believe it. But that's Mick all over, he's a wonderful man. I'm very lucky."
