Louise Redknapp: 'I check Jamie's phone'

Louise Redknapp has admitted that she checks the text messages on husband Jamie's phone.

The singer and presenter, who has been married to the footballer for 12 years, revealed that she experiences the same relationship problems as everyone else but insisted that the pair still have a strong marriage.

She told The Mirror: "Yes, I check Jamie's phone for messages, for sure. Everyone says he's really handsome - and he is - but I laugh and say, 'You don't have to live with him'.

"I love Jamie but we argue like any other couple. We have good days and bad. Life can get crazy with Jamie's football work and my TV schedule so we make sure one night a week we go out to dinner to catch up, just the two of us."

She added: "I remind myself that I'm lucky, that if you strip away everything - the celebrity, the fame - and look at what's left, we've got a good relationship. We're mates. All the other stuff doesn't last."
