Blondie singer claims she met Ted Bundy

Debbie Harry has claimed that she once had a narrow escape from serial killer Ted Bundy.

According to The Sun, Harry says that she accepted a lift from Bundy in the early seventies, but become concerned after realising that his car had no door handles inside.

"The hairs on the back of my neck just stood up," Harry said of her encounter.

"I pulled the door handle from the outside," she continued. "He tried to stop me by spinning the car, but it helped fling myself out."

Harry later saw Bundy on the news and realised that she had escaped from the famed sex killer.

Bundy was executed for over 30 confirmed murders in 1989.
