The singer was rushed to hospital to undergo surgery last month - just weeks after writing that he was suffering from a mystery illness. However, he has since embarked on his UK tour.
"For those who have been asking about my health, I'm still feeling OK, if not 100% better," he wrote in his New magazine column. "There's still some bleeding issues, but my doctor has assured me it's fine for me to perform, so I'm determined not to let my fans down."
He added: "The audiences have been fantastic at my gigs and I've had really good reviews. All my hard work has paid off!"
