Gary Glitter's trial on charges of committing obscene acts with two girls in Thailand will begin on March 2.
Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, could face seven years in jail if convicted of the offences. The trial is due to be held behind closed doors as it involves minors. No photographers and cameramen are to be allowed into the courtroom during the reading of the verdict, BBC News Online reports.
Glitter is alleged to have kissed and fondled the girls, aged 12 and 13, as well as participating in a number of other acts. He has been in custody since his November arrest in Ho Chi Minh City as he attempted to leave the country.
The former rock star already has a UK conviction for possession of child pornography, and served two months in prison in 1999.
