Hailee Steinfeld 'feels like lottery winner'

Hailee Steinfeld has revealed that being cast in the Coen brothers's film True Grit made her feel like a lottery winner.

In an interview with Blackbook, the 14-year-old actress expressed disbelief that she was able to work on such a high profile movie.

"It feels like I just won the lottery," she said. "It feels like that one-in-a-million kind of opportunity."

Steinfeld further added that she never expected to land such a major role so early in her career.

The star explained: "I assumed that I’d be doing a few shorts and some guest-starring, and that I would work my way up. Instead, I've gone from A to Z."

True Grit is released on December 22 in US cinemas and on January 14 in the UK.
