Stuntman Christopher Tierney was hospitalised after falling 30 feet during a performance of the Broadway superhero musical on Monday.
In reference to the incident, Lost co-creator Lindelof tweeted: "With great power, comes great respWAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGHSMASHCRASHKATHUMP!!!!! (sic)"
However, Lindelof backtracked on his remark after learning of the extent of Tierney's injuries. He later posted: "I had no idea that the stuntman was so seriously injured. Bad taste. Honest regrets. And hoping for a speedy recovery."
Tierney is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
