Cheryl Cole 'breaks down over Ashley card'

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been reduced to tears after receiving a Christmas card from ex-husband Ashley.

The 'Flood' singer, who separated from the Chelsea footballer in September, is believed to have been especially touched by the thoughtful greeting as she experiences her first Christmas as a divorcee.

A source told The Sun: "Cheryl felt quite choked up at being sent the card. After all that has happened between them, she thought it was a nice gesture.

"It has been a difficult year and as anyone who has been in love knows, the holidays can bring on a lot of emotion and nostalgia."

It was recently reported that Cole had turned to religion after her turbulent year.
