Gervais to charge for podcasts

Ricky Gervais is to charge fans to listen to his podcasts.
The comedian had previously released episodes for free, but now plans to charge £4 for at least four instalments of the programme.
According to BBC News Online, the show mainly consists of Gervais and writing partner Stephen Merchant mocking producer Karl Pilkington for his "idiotic" ideas, which include a 'Monkey News' bulletin of news stories about apes.
The weekly podcast is one of the most downloaded on the internet, and will be sold via iTunes and Audible. It is thought that an average of 295,000 people listen to each episode.
