The Little Fockers star, who made her film debut in 1994's Disney comedy Camp Nowhere, told Harper's Bazaar that she is surprised that the general public still holds her physical appearance in such high regard.
"I thought that was over and they'd moved onto someone else," she said. "It's very flattering. You know, it helps being airbrushed and having make-up artists and hairdressers."
Alba went on to note that she has learned over time to not take such a critical approach when evaluating her own beauty.
She explained: "I'm super-critical about myself when I'm looking at myself... Actually, I used to be a lot more critical of myself before I had my daughter, but now I just don't really care that much. It just doesn't matter."
The actress previously revealed that she is often jealous of the attention that her husband Cash Warren attracts from women.
