According to The Sun, the row began when Emma dyed her hair black - shortly after Price did. Friends claimed that the 32-year-old "hit the roof" and slammed her friend for "copying her look". Price recently revealed newly-dyed blonde locks during a trip to LA.
"Katie doesn't want to be in the same room as Emma," one friend told the paper. "It's really awkward."
Tensions between the pair allegedly increased when Emma commented on Facebook: "Stupid bloody girl, glad ur not in my life anymore u absolute IDIOT!! (sic)"
However, Price's spokesman has denied that the message was about her.
The pal added: "Katie has become convinced that people, not just Emma, are copying her - want her life. She was so angry she bleached her hair blonde so they couldn't be compared."
