The Happy Mondays frontman, who has spoken candidly about his drug habit in the past, told the The Sun that none of today's celebrities stand out.
"There's no real caners out there now," he said. "I couldn't name any - where are they all?
"Bez is still exactly the same. He will never change. He is still living like a 19-year-old. I love him to bits."
He continued: "If you threw him out of an aeroplane without a parachute he'd still somehow manage to land on his feet and be all right."
However, the I'm A Celebrity star claimed that he expects more from X Factor champion Matt Cardle.
"Matt's a builder from Essex - of course he's been on the gear," he added.
