Bernie Nolan thanks cancer doctors

Bernie Nolan has publicly thanked the doctors who helped her in her breast cancer battle.

The singer and actress, who had been diagnosed with the illness in April, was later reported to have beaten the disease.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly, Nolan praised the physicians who had cared for her during her treatment.

She said: "It was a great team looking after me... These men, they are the people that deserve awards. These surgeons... they don't get [praise].

"You know, people in showbiz, these big divas [who say], 'I want this on my rider, I want that on my rider', and all they do is sing and act. These guys not only save lives but they created a whole new breast for me from out of nothing. It's absolutely incredible."
