Carl Barat becomes a father to baby boy

Carl Barat has become a father for the first time after his girlfriend Edie Langley gave birth to a baby boy.

The musician confirmed on his Twitter that Langley gave birth to Eli over the Christmas period.

He wrote: "Mehreh Christmas one and all. I am the devastatingly proud father of a boy, who's name is Eli. X (sic)."

The Dirty Pretty Things frontman had previously predicted that the child would be born on Christmas Day.
