Updated: Peter Andre 'dating Lampard ex Elen Rivas'

Peter Andre has revealed that he is dating Frank Lampard's ex-girlfriend Elen Rivas, a report has claimed.

The Daily Star says that Andre has confirmed that things are "serious" between himself and Rivas, who will compete in the new series of Dancing On Ice.

He apparently told friends: "She is so classy and beautiful, just the change I needed after everything that has happened in the last two years."

The singer's spokeswoman commented: "Yes, Peter and Elen are dating. It is early days but this is not just a date, they are in a relationship and have been for a couple of months.”

The pair, who met at a dinner held by mutual friends in November, were spotted together at London's Claridge's hotel, before going on to the theatre to watch Flashdance.

A source commented: "Pete has fallen head over heels for Elen."

Since divorcing Katie Price, Andre has been linked to various women including Kerry Katona and Amy Childs.

"Pete has always denied those," the friend added. "For him to admit that he is seeing Elen, it must be serious."

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 this morning, former GMTV host Fiona Phillips confirmed the relationship.

"I know Elen and I know this to be true," she told Richard Madeley. "They have been seeing each other for a couple of months very quietly."
