Cat Deeley has Hollywood ambitions

Cat Deeley's relationship broke down because of her ambitions to become a Hollywood star, friends have claimed.

Yesterday it was revealed that PR executive Mark Whelan dumped Deeley after deciding that they didn't have a future together.

The Stars In Their Eyes host apparently refused to commit to Whelan because she is hoping to find fame in the US.

"In the end, Cat's focus on fame proved the downfall for their romance," a pal told the Sunday Mirror. "She has changed so much since she first met Mark. Then she was a happy-go-lucky girl enjoying her TV work. Now she puts work in front of everything else."

Deeley's ambitions have apparently been fuelled by friendships with Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller.

"She saw Sienna and Keira's fame and wanted to be a part of it," the source added. "Now she has started to see her future in acting as much as presenting. She wants to be flitting between London and Hollywood as opposed to filming Stars In Their Eyes in Manchester."
